Enterprise Development – Sierra Leone

Over 2,200 SMEs and entrepreneurs have benefitted from our Enterprise Development Services to date, from across all the regions of the country; 51% of whom are male and 49% female.

             We have raised and channelled over US$2million of debt, equity and grant investments for SMEs in the country 

             We are presently amongst the privileged implementing partners of the Skills Development Fund Project (SDF); funded by the Government of Sierra Leone and the World Bank through the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education.  

        The SDF is a challenge fund that seeks to support technical and vocational education towards the production of growth-oriented youth owned small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), stimulate the market for green products and services through the expansion of access to relevant TVET skills in Sierra Leone. 

       LBD (through the LBD-Useful Hands Vocational Institute) will be providing formal and informal vocational training in Industrial Tailoring and Dress Making, Hair Dressing and Beauty Therapy, Tourism and Hospitality Management to 100 Girls and Women. This is in addition to short courses in Entrepreneurship, Sales and Marketing and Customer Experience Management to another 100 Youth within the age 18-35.
